Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  1. Supporting the identification and evaluation of investment opportunities that meet our impact investment criteria.
  2. Collaborating with the Impact Investments Manager and/or the Chief Investment Officer on structuring new transactions, raising funding, and negotiating agreements with target companies.
  3. Performing due diligence processes on target companies and providing recommendations for investment decisions.
  4. Contributing to quarterly reviews of our impact investment portfolio, preparing reports and analyzing financial information from investee companies.
  5. Supporting internal bi-annual valuations of our impact investments for inclusion in management accounts.
  6. Communicating effectively with Executives and taking instructions as required.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should possess a strong academic background, preferably a CA (SA) or BCom/BSc Honours degree or CFA Charterholder/CFA (in progress).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in private equity, corporate finance, leveraged finance, asset management, impact investments, or management consulting.
  • Proven analytical and research skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced FactSet or Thomson Reuters (Refinitiv) or Bloomberg Terminal operational capability.
  • Previous experience with valuations or due diligences is highly desirable.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
