Store Operations Manager

As a Store Manager at Mr Price Money Cellular, you will be responsible for leading and managing the daily operations of a store to ensure that overall objectives, store targets, innovation initiatives, and customer service standards are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate stock receipt and unpacking to merchandise and replenish the store.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes, including stock counts, stock takes, and stock loss action plans to mitigate risks.
  • Oversee the overall maintenance of the stockroom to meet housekeeping standards.
  • Authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, OBF, cellular repairs, and returns.

Sales Growth & Profitability:

  • Analyze sales and profitability reports to collaborate with management on operational action plans and increase sales performance.
  • Review and stay up-to-date on in-store product performance to provide feedback to support centre and enhance sales.
  • Identify and propose new opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness, including in-store marketing and competitor shopping.

Risk Management:

  • Conduct compliance checks through defined processes, including admin checks, store audits, visual audits, COMO reports, POS reports, health and safety standards, and weekly hanger counts.

Customer Experience Management:

  • Ensure and maintain the implementation of customer experience processes, including business instruction letters, markdowns, repricing, promotions, customer experience plans, visual standards, customer feedback, and general housekeeping.

Leadership & Development:

  • Lead and drive the team within a store to achieve store KPIs and operational strategy in line with company values.
  • Identify and drive training, coaching, and development needs with a focus on talent management and succession planning.
  • Recruit, administer, and manage performance in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Innovation:

  • Ensure the implementation of innovation initiatives from Head Office, including Mpos, MRP Empower, E-docs, and Money Hub, to delight customers and improve in-store processes.

Requirements:

  • NQF level 4 (Grade 12) or equivalent
  • 3 years' experience in a store management position
  • Sales and service management, budgeting, computer literacy, communication skills
  • Retail trade, brand, customer service, cellular, mobile, new accounts, and insurance product understanding
