Key Responsibilities:

* Partner with executive management to manage major aspects of financial reporting.
* Provide monthly financial reviews and budget (forecast) meetings.
* Manage and maintain appropriate accounting policies, processes, and internal control systems.
* Prepare and/or review Audit Committee and Board financial pack submissions, including budgets, interim, and year-end packs.
* Ensure the integrity of the IFRS financial figures reported.
* Provide financial data and information requested by management on a timely basis.
* Act as the key contact for interim and year-end external audit and annual report preparation.
* Ensure company financial statements are prepared in compliance with IFRS for interim and annual reports.
* Accurately report on all imports and foreign exchange transactions.
* Manage timely and accurate accounting for acquisitions and disposals.
* Serve as a key advisor and signatory for loan and facility legal agreements and secretarial-related legal agreements.
* Maintain Group Companies Limits of Authority.
* Provide input in the Integrated Reporting compilation process.
* Ensure a succession plan is in place for senior management positions reporting to the Finance Executive.
* Ensure proper training of all personnel working on financial, accounting, audit, or fiscal matters.
* Manage the Finance team and their required outputs.
* Provide guidance and development opportunities to direct reports.

Requirements:

* 10-15 years of proven experience in a financial environment, including monitoring budgets and financial reporting to relevant stakeholders.
* Proven experience as a Head of Finance in the Apparel or Textile Manufacturing environment is advantageous.
* Proven track record in strategic financial leadership, integrated reporting and budgeting, risk management, governance and controls, and people performance.
* Good business acumen.
* Knowledge of imports and foreign exchange rates.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work under pressure to achieve targets and meet deadlines.
* Proven ability in Financial and ERP systems.
* Advanced proficiency in MS Office and financial software.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Salary is negotiable, depending on experience.
* Convenient location in Cape Town, Northern Suburbs.
