Job Description:

This role involves preparing annual financial statements for all funds, reviewing annual financial statements, and managing the audit process from beginning to end.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Luxembourg GAAP, and US GAAP to prepare financial statements effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the primary point of contact for auditors;
  • Prepare and distribute audit timetables based on provisional dates available for the audit;
  • Compile and distribute audit packs and other information to be sent to auditors before the start of the audit;
  • Manage audit logs and queries to ensure accurate and timely responses to auditors;
  • Follow up on outstanding issues from auditors and provide regular feedback to client relationship managers, clients, and fund accountants;

Requirements:

  • An accounting qualification (minimum B.Com Accounting or equivalent) together with either 3 years audit experience or fund accounting experience and experience in preparing annual financial statements;
  • Advanced level experience in using Excel and MS Word;
  • Detailed understanding of IFRS, specifically IFRS 7 Financial Instruments: Disclosures, IAS 32 Financial Instruments: Presentation, and IAS 39 Financial Instruments: Recognition and Measurement, as well as consolidations and detailed understanding of Luxembourg GAAP;
  • Knowledge of US GAAP will be an advantage;
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal);
  • A confident, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual with a track record of achievement;
