Job Overview

Flink Recruit Pretoria seeks a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to oversee the certification process for vehicles and automotive components. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of automotive regulations and standards, as well as strong project management skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance Oversight: Stay up-to-date with all relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines governing the automotive industry. Interpret regulatory requirements and communicate them effectively to internal stakeholders.
  • Certification Process Management: Manage the end-to-end certification process for vehicles and automotive components. Coordinate with engineering, design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to gather necessary documentation and data for certification.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate records of certification activities, including test results, compliance reports, and regulatory correspondence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate regulatory requirements into product development processes. Provide guidance and support to engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure regulatory compliance is built into product designs from the outset.
  • Risk Management and Issue Resolution: Identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Investigate compliance issues, non-conformities, and customer complaints related to certification.
  • Regulatory Advocacy and Representation: Represent the organization in regulatory discussions, industry forums, and standardization bodies.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in regulatory compliance, certification, or quality management within the automotive industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive regulations and standards, such as FMVSS, ECE, CCC, ISO, and SAE.
  • Familiarity with certification processes and requirements in major automotive markets in South Africa.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams and external partners.
