Laboratory Analyst Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Analyst to join our team at NEOC Group Pty Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting quality control, in accordance with the Quality Management System, by performing analytical services in order to satisfy client needs in accordance with the requirements of the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of statistics and the ability to apply statistical rules/analysis to laboratory decision-making processes. Additionally, they will have a minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience as an analyst, with HPLC experience being a significant advantage.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Performing analytical tasks as assigned by laboratory management in terms of GLP aligned with a pharmaceutical analytical culture.
- Verifying the calibration date and available standards themselves beforehand.
- Maintaining the Quality Management System in the laboratory according to Good Documentation, Manufacturing, and Laboratory practices.
- Preparing reagents correctly and accurately according to SOPs and applicable methods, documenting all relevant details e.g. reference method, measured pH, temperature, etc.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a minimum qualification of a Relevant Diploma or Degree in Analytic Chemistry or equivalent. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) are also essential, as well as the ability to function as part of a team and work well under pressure. A deadline-driven individual with a quality focus is required to excel in this role.
