Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team at Standard Bank of South Africa Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and implementing effective risk management strategies.
Main Responsibilities- Regulatory Compliance: Analyze operational activities to identify potential compliance risks and implement measures to mitigate them.
- Risk Management: Develop and maintain a Business Unit specific Regulatory Universe to ensure organizational adherence to legislative requirements.
- Reporting and Governance: Complete and contribute to compliance reports as required by governance structures, committees, and regulations.
- Centre of Excellence: Implement Centre of Excellence execution into business area delivery to ensure effective adherence to frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Risk Management Plans: Customize generic risk management plans to ensure appropriateness within the regulatory context of a specific functional area.
A Bachelor's degree in Audit, Finance, Legal, or Business is required. A Postgraduate degree in the same fields is preferred. 5-7 years of experience in Compliance with a sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and banking products is necessary.
