- Analyze Costing Models: Utilize advanced analytical skills to evaluate and improve costing models, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives.
- Determine Project Budgets: Work closely with project managers to determine project budgets, including all costs, and ensure they are accurately reflected in financial reports.
- Monitor Budget Expenditure: Regularly review and analyze budget expenditure to identify any inaccuracies in forecasts and suggest corrective actions.
- Implement Target Costing: Develop and implement target costing strategies to determine profit margins and improve overall financial performance.
- Set Targets for Material Cost: Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to set realistic targets for material cost reduction.
- Compile Cost Packs: Prepare and compile cost packs for relevant stakeholders, ensuring they have accurate and up-to-date financial information.
- Ensure Cost Tracking: Implement and maintain a cost tracking system to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Improve Costing Models: Continuously review and improve costing models to ensure they remain accurate and effective.
- Assist in Maintaining Spreadsheets: Collaborate with the finance team to maintain and update spreadsheets, ensuring they accurately reflect the company's financial position.
- Minimum 5 Years of Experience: In a similar role, with a strong background in costing and financial analysis.
- Manufacturing Environment Experience: Proven experience working in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of costing principles.
- Costing in Manufacturing Experience: Advanced knowledge of costing principles and practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience and Understanding of BOMs: Strong understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and their role in costing and financial analysis.
- SYSPRO Experience: Proficiency in SYSPRO, a non-negotiable requirement for this role.
- Advanced Excel Skills: Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create complex spreadsheets and models.
- Tertiary Qualification: A tertiary qualification in Cost and Management Accounting or a similar field is required.
