About the Position

This job involves providing a secure and safe environment for students, faculty, and staff at the New York Medical College campus.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Protect people and assets from harm, promoting a culture of safety and security.
  2. Identify and report suspicious behavior, promptly addressing potential safety risks.
  3. Conduct regular patrols of campus buildings, monitoring conditions and responding to emergencies.
  4. Support student and staff needs by enforcing parking regulations, providing directions, and assisting with inquiries.
  5. Collaborate with supervisors on special projects, such as event support, shuttle services, or reception duties.
Requirements

Candidates for this role must meet the following criteria:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • NYS Security Certification and a valid driver's license.
  • Familiarity with basic computer applications, such as MS Word and phone systems.
  • At least two years of experience in a professional setting.

We seek candidates with excellent communication skills, a strong sense of customer service, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments. The ideal candidate will be physically capable of lifting objects, standing for extended periods, and walking on stairs, while maintaining clear vision and hearing.
