Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Financial Operations Manager to oversee the financial operations of our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with suppliers and partners, overseeing financial operations, and working closely with senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Operations: Oversee the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Relationship Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure optimal pricing and quality of products/services.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Financial Planning: Assist with the preparation and management of budgets and forecasts to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability.
  • Banking and Cash Management: Manage banking functions, including daily bank reconciliations, cash covenants, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Accounts Payable: Capture costs and ensure all suppliers are paid on time.
  • Payroll: Prepare and process payroll for SA, and all necessary tax returns.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure that vat, income tax, and payroll tax submissions are completed and submitted on time.
  • BBBEE Compliance: Assist with the preparation of reports required for BBBEE submissions.
  • Sales Support: Support the sales team with returns, credit notes, and queries.
  • Financial Process Improvement: Support the integration of new systems and provide strategic financial advice to support the company's decision-making processes.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in accounting and business administration.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency with Sage payroll system, Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Qualifications: Postgraduate degree or relevant professional designation (i.e. CA, CPA, CFA).
