The ideal candidate for this position will possess extensive experience in programming and operating Fanuc Controlled CNC machines, particularly Victor machines. A strong background in CAD/CAM skills, with proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, is also essential. Manual programming experience is a must-have for this role.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Implementation of Programs: The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing programs for new parts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the machining process.
- Machining Symbol and Tolerancing Expertise: Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, including all machining symbols and tolerancing, is crucial for success in this role.
- Jigs and Fixtures Design: Responsible for designing jigs and fixtures to locate parts in CNC machines, considering non-symmetrical and non-flat reference surfaces.
- Cutting Tool Selection: Selecting the correct cutting tools for the job is a critical task that requires expertise and attention to detail.
- Program Writing and Loading: Writing and loading the machining program, as well as verifying the first article, are essential responsibilities of this position.
- Machine Operator Supervision and Training: Daily supervision of machine operators, training, and re-training on tasks such as loading and removal of parts, basic measurement techniques, and adjusting machine settings.
- CNC Machine Operation and Maintenance: Responsible for the operation and maintenance of 9 Fanuc Controlled Victor CNC machines, including troubleshooting breakdowns and liaison with suppliers.
- A 13th cheque payment in December.
