The successful candidate will control all systematic transactions between stores and production, ensuring efficient operations and exceeding production expectations.
Key Responsibilities:- Receiving Process: Ensure that the receiving process is followed by checking confirmed receipts and inspecting goods.
- Offloading and Document Control: Coordinate offloading and ensure document controls are in place.
- Incoming Containers: Ensure that all incoming containers are received, quantities confirmed as per packing lists, and signed documentation is forwarded to the Raw Materials Procurement officer.
- Stores Staff Performance: Maintain stores staff performance by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees as necessary.
- Daily Tasks Planning: Plan daily tasks for all stores staff.
- Stock Levels Management: Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control by ensuring availability of merchandise and services through accurate stock inventories.
- Cycle Counts: Ensure that daily cycle counts are executed, and Pastel is updated where required by doing a Stock Adjustment Document (SAD).
- Customer Service: Deliver excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement continuous improvement projects for your regional store.
- SOPs and Work Instructions: Draw up SOPs and work instructions. Continuous improvement to be implemented and changes communicated to HR.
- Raw Materials Issuance: Ensure that all stock requirements (Raw Materials) for Production are issued on time.
- Raw Material Count: Conduct daily raw material count in production to ensure usage of materials are accurately issued to works orders.
- Variance Reporting: Daily manufacturing variance reporting and escalation when over usage occurs.
- Works Order Completion: Finish and close off works orders once all materials are issued and receipted.
- Finished Goods Booking: Book in finished goods on Pastel.
- Housekeeping: Maintain housekeeping in stores.
- Consumables and PPE Management: Weekly stock count of consumables (paper, blue plastic, cardboard, shrinkwrap, desicant bags, pot scourers etc.) & PPE, issue and management thereof.
