Financial Transactions Manager

We are seeking an experienced Financial Transactions Manager to join the National Debt Association on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing financial transactions, ensuring accurate records, and optimizing processes to minimize tax liabilities while maintaining compliance with South African regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial reports.
  • Handle VAT, PAYE, UIF and other SARS related matters
  • Strategize and implement methods to optimize tax liabilities legally.
  • Manage cash flow and assist with budgeting
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants when required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Pastel, Sage or Quick books)
  • Strong understanding of South African Tax laws and regulations.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • A diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
