About the Job

We are seeking a Workforce Development Manager to join our team in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing workforce strategies that drive business results and enhance employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement workforce strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Lead the design and delivery of training programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate employee development initiatives, focusing on career growth and succession planning.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on HR-related issues and employee development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement HR programs and initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date on HR best practices and employment laws, ensuring Pillar South Africa remains compliant and competitive.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in workforce development or a related field.
  • Experience in FMCG/Retail environments, with a strong understanding of industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Additional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, HRCI) is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, with expertise in reporting and presentation tools.
  • Strong capabilities in data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
