Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate policy applications to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Assess risk levels and make informed underwriting decisions
  • Maintain accurate records of policy applications, premiums, and claims
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders regarding policy terms, conditions, and premiums
  • Contribute to the development of underwriting policies and procedures
  • Action renewals and cancellations in accordance with internal operating procedures
  • Process endorsements and amendments to existing policies
  • Disciplined management of daily diary system

Requirements:

  • Matric qualification
  • FETC in Short Term Insurance (NQF 4) – highly advantageous
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
  • Exposure to or work experience on the TIAL Operating System (System A) – highly advantageous
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of short term insurance policy wording (Multimark III and/or Personal Lines)
  • Minimum one year relevant work experience in short term insurance underwriting (Personal Lines products)
