The manager will also be responsible for enhancing sales performance pursuing new business opportunities and maintaining budget control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing the commercial strategy and the commercial direction of sales projects
  • Negotiating with customers suppliers and manufacturers
  • Building and managing relationships with customers
  • Conducting market research
  • Monitoring the progress of sales projects
  • Collaborating with the sales team overseeing the sales performance and providing direction to the sales team
  • Pursuing new business opportunities
  • Monitoring budgeting expenses
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks
  • Planning and implementing the overall supply chain strategy
  • Collaborating with Sales Operations (Manufacturing Plant) and Customer Service teams
  • Determining key supply chain KPIs
  • Suggesting solutions for process improvements
  • Identifying process bottlenecks and implementing solutions in a timely manner
  • Training and evaluating others
  • Providing constructive feedback
  • Working with finance sales and manufacturing teams to determine best vendors and distributors
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with vendors

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Commercial Manager
  • Previous working experience as a Supply Chain Manager for 8 years
  • Minimum of a relevant degree (e.g. Business Administration Supply Chain Management Finance or similar)
  • South African Nationals are encouraged to apply
