We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive Fund Accountant to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our investment management team, you will be responsible for managing the financial reporting of funds, including quarterly and annual financial statements, internal and external audits, and investment documentation delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth audit processes
  • Deliver high-quality investment documentation to fund administrators and depositaries
  • Respond to investor queries and provide timely support
  • Work closely with senior team members on accounting and operational issues

Requirements:

  • CA(SA) / ACCA qualification or equivalent
  • 4-6 years of combined Big 4 and private sector or relevant work experience in fund accounting and private equity
  • Strong understanding of fund accounting principles, including valuation, consolidation, and distribution waterfalls
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage upwards
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly
