Fempower, a leading manufacturing company, seeks an experienced Junior Occupational Health & Safety Officer to support its SHE team in ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance: Assist in ensuring full compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and ISO standards
  • Risk Assessments: Conduct baseline, issue-based, and continuous risk assessments to enhance workplace safety
  • Incident Investigation & Reporting: Assist in investigating workplace incidents, injuries, and near-misses, ensuring corrective measures are implemented
  • Audits & Inspections: Perform internal audits, daily safety inspections, and compliance checks to maintain a safe work environment

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of OHSA and regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001 training advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and engage with employees at all levels
  • 3+ years' SHE experience in a manufacturing environment
