About the Role:

This position will be responsible for the full software testing cycle, including manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in software testing and be able to interpret and perceive requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Perform audits and tests of software products in accordance with software test plans, policies and procedures.
  2. Offer detailed technical support in the preparation for evaluations in the operations and maintenance of the test environment.
  3. Assist Developers with debugging and characterising defects.
  4. Use existing templates or tools to provide software evaluation reports indicating status summary for passing and failing tests.
  5. Use subject matter expertise in the execution of software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing.
  6. Maintain documentation of test operations (including the implementation of new features), and reporting results to the software development team.
  7. Participate in the collection of feedback on the developed design, from end users and other representative sources.
  8. Identify actual and potential problems in test plans or company products.
  9. Work closely with the software development team in the diagnosis and replication of software failures.
  10. Provide regular updates on testing progress, anomalies, risks and issues associated with the overall project.
  11. Execute test cases against stories, maintaining tests in line with agreed testing standards and practices.
  12. Provide feedback on user stories from a quality point of view and promote bug prevention strategies, testability, accessibility.
  13. Participate in the delivery testing according to the schedule and complete tasks within allocated timeframes.
  14. Use technical expertise to select techniques for the elicitation of detailed requirements taking into account the nature of the required changes, established practices and the characteristics and culture of those providing the requirements.
  15. Proactively support the maintenance of the test environment.
  16. Write SQL queries to retrieve, update and insert data in the databases.
  17. Use understanding of business processes, to maintain test data structures and associated components by applying data analysis, modeling, and quality assurance techniques.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in a variety of testing efforts.
  2. At least 4-5 years' experience in a similar position.
  3. The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  4. Experience in executing test plans and cases.
  5. Good background on what is technically required to deliver IT solutions.
  6. Experience with defect tracking and testing systems.
  7. Demonstrated experience using techniques for identifying, gathering and validating customer needs in the delivery of IT services.
  8. Experience in quality assurance methodology.
  9. Application testing.
  10. Quality assurance.
  11. Software quality assurance and testing techniques.
  12. Problem solving and analysis.
  13. Auditing.
  14. Software quality assurance and testing systems.
  15. Reporting and interpreting.
  16. Familiarity with Agile principles and how testing fits into Agile environments.
