The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong background in mechanical operations and have experience working in underground environments. They will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment, while maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of machinery and equipment
  • Condition monitoring and scheduled/planned maintenance
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly inspections
  • Breakdown management and root cause analysis

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 qualification or certified Fitter/Diesel Mechanic Trade Test
  • At least 2-3 years' experience in underground mining
  • Sound planning and organizational abilities
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
