Job Purpose

To ensure the functionality and availability of all electrical equipment in the factory, install and supply power to new equipment, and assist with the maintenance of the factory.

Key Accountabilities and Outputs

  • Applies electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify operational electrical machinery, electrical control equipment, and circuitry in the plant.

  • Assembles and tests motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other electrical equipment/components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles.

  • Diagnoses cases of electrical/mechanical malfunctions or failure or expansions.

  • Develops wiring diagrams for systems or equipment modifications or expansions.

  • Assists with general plant maintenance with the maintenance team.

Responsibilities

Accountable for specialist outputs, as well as initiating quality standards within defined work routines and policies.
