About the Role:
The rotating equipment specialist will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing the condition of equipment to reduce production downtime, increase machine availability, and extend machine life.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Carrying out routine and non-routine machinery condition monitoring and data collection using data collectors and computerized CM systems with direction and support from the supervisor.
- Performing troubleshooting, failure investigation, telescopic inspection, oil collection, thermal imaging, task observations, vibration analysis, equipment alignment, and pump performance testing.
- Conducting routine and non-routine condition monitoring activities effectively and safely.
- Collecting vibration and operational parameters and uploading them into the Machine Analys database.
- Reviewing all exception reports in the database on a daily basis.
- Updating overhauls and bearings change events into the history database. Reviewing daily trip events (or failure events) and coordinating with production teams to carry out necessary actions.
- Identifying and reporting machines with chronic problems and recommending necessary actions.
- Carrying out commissioning checks of newly installed rotating equipment.
- Coordinating with schemes maintenance teams in troubleshooting activities, as necessary.
- Supporting maintenance teams in troubleshooting and implementation of improvement initiatives.
- Developing a rotating equipment technical database.
- Coordinating with Maintenance Scheduler and Planning Technicians in prioritizing, scheduling, and alignment of condition monitoring jobs with their planned activities.
- Building equipment history for maintenance planning.
- Consolidating and submitting condition monitoring records.
- Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
