Intervention Specialist

Bidvest Protea Coin is seeking a skilled Intervention Specialist to join our team. As an Intervention Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment.

• Conduct routine patrols within designated areas of responsibility, focusing on crime prevention and intervention.
• Identify and respond to out-of-the-ordinary behavior and incidents, ensuring prompt action is taken to mitigate risks.
• Patrol main areas, respond to alarms, escorts, and removals of disturbances, maintaining a high level of situational awareness.
• Monitor and report risk situations, utilizing dynamic risk assessment techniques to inform decision-making.
• Engage in risk reduction activities, including identifying risk factors and responsibilities after physical intervention.
• Maintain accurate records of all incidents and activities, providing valuable insights for future improvements.

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Proof and verification of Grade A PSIRA Certification.
• Valid Code 8 drivers license.
• Firearm competency for Handgun, Shotgun, and Rifle.
• Regulation 21 certification.
• Recognized tactical training experience.
• Previous experience at operational tactical response level.
• Defensive driving qualification.
• Clean disciplinary, criminal, and credit record.
• Own reliable transportation.

The estimated salary for this position is R250,000 - R350,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a competitive offer that reflects the importance of this role in maintaining our organization's security and integrity.
