Job Description: As the Chief Operating Officer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, collaborating with the CEO and executive team to drive business growth and success. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and implementing agency marketing plans and visions, ensuring maximum operational efficiency, and fostering strong relationships with carriers and brokers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to drive business growth
  2. Optimize daily operations to enhance productivity and efficiency
  3. Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain a strong reputation
  4. Monitor production and monthly goals to inform business decisions
  5. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including carriers and brokers
  6. Develop and implement client retention strategies to drive long-term growth
  7. Collect and analyze data to inform business decisions and drive strategic initiatives
  8. Oversee the development and implementation of the agency budget and financial plans
  9. Provide coaching, training, and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance
  10. Support the CEO and executive team in all aspects of the business and operations

Requirements:

  1. 7+ years' experience in insurance management with a strong track record of sales, operational, and financial success
  2. 5 years' experience in a senior leadership role within an agency, with a proven ability to drive growth and success
  3. Superior negotiation and presentation skills, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit
  4. BCom in finance or a related field, with up-to-date Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points
  5. Strong insurance knowledge, with expertise in commercial lines and personal lines
  6. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  7. Creative problem-solving skills, with exceptional time management and attention to detail
  8. Afrikaans speaking, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
