  • Cash Management: Manage daily cash transactions, ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial activities.
  • Asset Transactions: Record daily asset transactions, including additions, disposals, and transfers, and ensure accurate accounting treatment.
  • Accruals Accounting: Accurately account for accruals and their impact on profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Monthly Accounting Records: Compile monthly accounting records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Month-End Reconciliations: Prepare month-end reconciliations, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Debtors Age Analysis: Analyze debtors' age, identifying and addressing any issues or discrepancies.
  • Statutory Returns: Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Finance Reports: Generate finance reports, providing insights and analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Audit Queries: Respond to audit queries, ensuring accurate and timely resolution.
  • Depreciation Journals: Generate monthly depreciation journals, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Financial Transactions: Record daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise a team performing routine work, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Account Reconciliation: Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
  • Education: BCom Degree in Finance or Accounting field, with Honours Degree essential.
  • Experience: Completed SAICA articles, with 2 to 4 years post-articles experience within a financial accounting role.
  • Industry Experience: Insurance or Financial Services industry experience is non-negotiable.
  • Skills: IFRS 17 experience essential, Sage X3 working knowledge essential, strong Microsoft Excel skills, financial and business acumen, strong personality, ability to work in a highly pressured and fast-paced environment, flexible and open-minded, and a team player.
