Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Requirements: Meet project objectives, HOD instructions, and budgets while producing high-quality facilities within time constraints.
  • Work Environment Management: Manage own work time and environment to ensure neatness, accuracy, and high work standards.
  • Machinery Movement: Successfully move machinery from the assembly hall to the commissioning hall.
  • Modification Assistance: Assist in any modifications that come through from the electrical designers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Requirements: Manage electrical requirements and instructions to meet short- and long-term project objectives.
  • Documentation and Communication: Document assembly restrictions, manage requirements, and control delays with good communication skills and feedback to management and colleagues.
  • Assembly Safety: Follow health and safety procedures and all assembly safety practices to ensure a quality, safe product is produced.
  • Product Quality: Ensure that the company's project goals are met or exceeded by working within projects' budget, time requirements, special requirements, and facility quality requirements.
  • Manufacturing Improvements: Develop, track, evaluate, and drive improvements in manufacturing and assembly methods.
  • Design Changes: Assist in installing any form of design change as released by electrical designers.
  • Product Design: Confer with designers and manufacturing resources concerning product design to ensure efficient and correct assembly processes.
  • Workplace Planning: Assist in planning total operation requirements, including workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and layout of the workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Testing and Quality Control: Testing of sub-assembly units and complete facility to ensure it meets project, marketing, safety, product, and customer requirements.
  • Documentation Trails: Keep proper documentation trails.
  • International Work: Work on site, locally and abroad, and continually give feedback to the I&C Manager as to progress.
  • Customer Liaison: Liaise with the customer at times.
  • Company Support: Support the company Code of Conduct and all company policies.
