We are seeking an experienced Credit Risk Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our Workout and Restructure department, you will play a crucial role in managing credit risk and developing strategies to mitigate potential losses.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in credit assessment, workout, and restructuring. You will be responsible for analyzing complex financial data, identifying areas of risk, and developing tailored solutions to minimize exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the Bank's strategy and roadmap to determine future trends, strategic direction, and implications to Commercial Banking and Transformation Credit function.
  • Compile the W&R Credit strategy and roadmap aligned to overall Bank Strategy and Commercial Plan and buy-in.
  • Design and implement the WR Credit business plan for each financial year aligned to the approved overall Bank's Corporate Plan.
  • Facilitate credit process improvement and act as a further interface between Banking and Credit Divisions based on the deficiencies identified in WR defaulted loans.
  • Leverage on all available information from internal stakeholders, industry to ensure credit policies, norms, procedure departmental processes, systems and protocols are continuously reviewed and updated to promote competitiveness in the sector.
  • Promote the principle of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) by providing direction and monitoring the delivery of the TCF behaviours and outcomes.
  • Engage with Banking and research and strategy to understand prevailing trends in the industry, identify performance gaps and variances in the credit evaluation process, and institute remedial action plans.
  • Work with banking senior management, internal and external stakeholders to ensure credit offering are tailor-made to support Bank's customer value proposition.

  • Extensive experience in credit assessment, workout, and restructuring.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial data effectively.
  • Experience in managing credit risk and developing strategies to mitigate potential losses.
