Executive Sales Manager in Food Service

The company is seeking an experienced Executive Sales Manager to drive business growth and lead a high-performing sales team in the food service industry.

This key leadership role involves developing and executing sales strategies to expand market share, build strong client relationships, and maximize revenue.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to drive business growth and increase revenue.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a sales team of four, ensuring targets and KPIs are met.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, corporate partners, and distributors.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the catering and food service industry.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and finance teams to align sales objectives with overall business goals.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and sales forecasting.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead in the industry.
  • Provide strategic leadership and report directly to the executive team.
Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in Sales / Marketing or 10 years' experience in a similar role, only extensive Catering Industry and Commercial sector experience will be considered.
  • Proven experience in a Director of Sales or senior sales leadership role within the catering, food service, or FMCG industry.
  • 5 – 10 years' managing a team with senior staff members.
  • Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills with experience managing sales teams.
  • A solid network and understanding of the food and catering industry in South Africa.
  • Exceptional business development, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, forecast sales, and develop pricing strategies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
