Pharmacy Care Associate Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Care Associate to join our team at Clicks Group Limited. The successful candidate will provide pharmacy care services and perform day-to-day dispensary administration according to our Standard Operating Plans (SOPs).

About the Role:
  • Provide pharmacy care services within the scope of practice.
  • Perform day-to-day dispensary administration.
  • Administer scripts and/or any other claiming/capturing related procedure.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all profiles worked on.
  • Interact with healthcare professionals where needed.
  • Resolve problems and follow up on queries.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Interact with customers via telephone or other means regarding medication and healthcare services.
  2. Capture scripts received at the Central Pharmacy centre accurately.
  3. Handle queries regarding prescriptions.
  4. Manage patient profiles.
  5. Assist with chronic authorizations.
  6. Liaise with other departments.
  7. Perform ad-hoc requirements as per operational needs.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • SAPC and relevant legal knowledge.
  • Sound knowledge of the chronic authorization process and procedures.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Ethical working practices and compliance.
