About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Safety Specialist to join our team in Pretoria/Johannesburg. As an Electrical Safety Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all safety policies and procedures related to electrical equipment and installations are adhered to.

Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular inspections of electrical equipment and installations to guarantee compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
2. Develop and maintain comprehensive safety protocols and procedures related to electrical work, staying up-to-date on relevant regulations and best practices.
3. Investigate incidents or accidents related to electrical safety, implement corrective actions, and provide recommendations for improvement.
4. Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for employees on electrical safety, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their tasks safely.
5. Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure a safe working environment, promoting a culture of safety and risk awareness throughout the organization.
6. Assist with the procurement of safety equipment and gear for employees working with electricity, ensuring that all necessary PPE is readily available and easily accessible.

Requirements:
To be successful as an Electrical Safety Specialist, you should have:
1. Proven experience as a Safety Officer with a focus on electrical safety, demonstrating your ability to apply your knowledge and skills in real-world scenarios.
2. In-depth knowledge of electrical safety regulations and best practices, including local and international standards and codes.
3. Excellent communication and organizational skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating your flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
5. Certification in electrical safety would be highly advantageous, but not essential – what's most important is your passion for safety and your commitment to delivering exceptional results.
6. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, enabling you to identify and address potential safety risks before they become major issues.
