- This role requires an experienced Obstetrician and Gynecologist to manage day-to-day operations of the Department, which involves consulting with doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals to determine the needs of the Department and recommend appropriate action.
- Provide Clinical direction and leadership for members of the multidisciplinary teams who are involved in the direct care of patients, as well as indirect care activities such as education, research, quality improvement, and policy development.
- This role does not involve supervision of administrative staff.
The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate qualification in obstetrics and gynecology, be registered with the New Zealand Medical Council, and possess a valid driver's license. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
