Numeral XII (Pty) Ltd. is a dynamic and forward-thinking company that seeks to hire a highly skilled Corporate Legal Expert. This role will be responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, providing support to various legal functions, and managing corporate records.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of corporate law and legal processes, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in legal research and document management. They will also possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work collaboratively with legal teams.

This role offers a competitive salary of R550,000 - R650,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including a state-of-the-art tech building, access to an on-site gym, and two on-site restaurants.

Job Description

We are seeking a Corporate Legal Expert to ensure our company's legal compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and ensuring compliance with corporate governance requirements;
  • Assisting in preparing and filing annual reports, meeting minutes, and other regulatory filings;
  • Managing and organizing corporate documents, including contracts, agreements, and corporate records;
  • Drafting, reviewing, and editing legal documents as needed;
  • Reviewing and negotiating contracts, including vendor agreements, leases, and employment contracts;
  • Maintaining a contract database and tracking contract renewal dates;
  • Assisting in due diligence processes for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions;
  • Conducting research and gathering information about potential business partners or targets;
  • Monitoring and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations;
  • Assisting in regulatory reporting and compliance initiatives;
  • Managing intellectual property matters, including trademark and patent applications;
  • Maintaining the company's intellectual property portfolio;
  • Gathering relevant documents and information in the event of legal disputes or litigation;
  • Coordinating with external counsel and assisting in managing the litigation process;
  • Conducting legal research to support decision-making and staying updated on legal developments;
  • Maintaining and organizing corporate records, including articles of incorporation and bylaws;
  • Assisting with various corporate transactions, such as stock offerings and joint ventures;
  • Providing training and education to employees on legal policies, compliance, and best practices;
  • Handling administrative tasks related to legal matters, including scheduling, calendar management, and file organization.

Requirements include a minimum Law degree or related field and 3 years of experience in a Corporate Legal Support role.
