**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Isilumko Staffing. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for conducting and monitoring diagnostic analyses on patient specimens to provide accurate test results.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and quality control checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Receive and process patient samples, ensuring proper handling and storage procedures are followed.
- Conduct tests according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and verify results for accuracy.
- Participate in quality management initiatives, including data analysis and corrective action planning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve operational efficiency and meet turnaround time (TAT) standards.
**Requirements & Qualifications:
- National Diploma in Biomedical Technology or Bachelor's degree in Laboratory Science.
- HPCSA registration as a Medical Technologist in Microbiology/Clinical Pathology.
- 0-3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, including internship.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific information to patients and healthcare professionals.
**Compensation & Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position is R250,000 - R350,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including medical aid, retirement funding, and paid time off.
