East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa Global Banking School Full time
Job Description

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining high levels of student retention and satisfaction at Global Banking School. As a Student Success Tutor, your problem-solving skills and ability to take pre-emptive action will be key to your success.

You will be responsible for advising and supporting a defined group of students, serving as their primary point of contact for any questions or concerns they may have. This involves staying in close contact with your assigned students, providing guidance and support across various areas and services offered by GBS.

Your duties will include offering first-line help with academic and IT queries, guiding students through key tasks and classroom requirements throughout the academic year. You will also assist students in managing circumstances surrounding assignment submission, provide guidance on mitigating circumstances, and refer students to relevant academic processes.

To facilitate student access to academic support, career guidance services, and other resources, you will work closely with various teams within GBS. For students with personal learning plans, you will collaborate with the Student Welfare team to ensure their needs are communicated effectively to faculty.

Additionally, you will play a crucial role in identifying students who show signs of disengagement and referring them to our specialist retention team.

This is a 40-hour per week role that requires flexibility to meet business demands and ensure support is available to students when needed. Your working pattern will involve a combination of weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays, evenings up to 9 pm, and bank holidays.
