Electronic Hardware Design Lead for Defence/Aerospace Industry

Network Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Electronic Hardware Design Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and testing of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) for a leading Defence/Aerospace company.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position that requires a strong technical background and experience in electronic circuit simulation and design as well as the ability to lead the LRU development process from preliminary design through to production.

  • Design, simulate and complete PCB design and routing of LRUs according to specifications provided by systems engineer.
  • Follow the defined electronic hardware design processes and document design according to hardware design plan.
  • Take part in peer reviews of LRUs.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with software, mechanical, DSP, RF and aeronautical teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware LRUs.
  • Test and validate hardware designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations (DO-160, MIL-STD-704).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware design and performance.
Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • B. Eng Electronic, M. Eng Electronic or similar qualification.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Military and/or Aerospace industry.
  • Extensive experience in analog, digital and communication electronic hardware designs.
Key Skills and Proficiencies

You will also need to have proficiency in:

  • Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Altium, LTspice.
  • Schematic design, PCB design, simulation of circuits, analysis of circuits, development processes, testing procedures.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. Other benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
