Job Title: Addiction Treatment Specialist

Vencorp Placements is seeking an experienced Addiction Treatment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in the treatment and support of individuals struggling with addiction and mental health disorders.

Job Description:

  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for patients with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Provide assessments and diagnoses for mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Participate in case conferences and staff meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment strategies.
  • Maintain patient records and documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Stay current with research and best practices in addiction treatment and mental health care.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification as Clinical / Counseling Psychologist (Bpsych, Hons, Masters) or Occupational Therapist / Registered Counsellor with valid registration.
  • Previous experience working in a hospital and not only private practice experience.
  • Experience with in-patient settings.
  • Experience working in a rehab / addiction center and / or psychiatric hospital.
  • Experience working with patients with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based addiction treatment modalities and mental health interventions.
