Job Title: Cloud Solutions Architect

About the Role:

At Edge Executives, we are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure using modern technologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage and optimize cloud environments (AWS, GCP) to ensure high availability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  2. Infrastructure as Code: Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation to automate the provisioning and management of resources.
  3. CI/CD Pipelines: Design and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
  4. Monitoring and Logging: Set up and maintain monitoring and logging systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) to ensure the health and performance of the platform.
  5. Security: Implement security best practices to protect infrastructure and applications, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  6. Patch Management: Apply software updates to Linux, Windows, and databases.
  7. Network Management: Maintain, secure, and enhance the office network according to industry best practices.
  8. Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of applications.
  9. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve infrastructure-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
  10. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of systems engineering/administration experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience with virtualization platforms.
  • 1-3 years of experience coordinating activities of technology product and service vendors and leading technical infrastructure design activities.
  • 1-3 years of experience in one or more hyperscalers such as GCP or AWS.
  • Foundational knowledge in Python, Golang, or NodeJS is an advantage.
  • Proficient in scripting and bash scripting.
  • Proficient in Linux and Windows system administration.

Qualifications/ Certifications:

  • Degree or equivalent with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Certifications in one or more hyperscalers such as Google, AWS, or Azure would be beneficial.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
