This is a key position within Optimal Growth Technologies, responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upgrading of our network infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards, in accordance with our specifications and building and civil standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and upgrading of network infrastructure, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with company specifications and building and civil standards.
  • Provide technical operations and maintenance support to regional teams, ensuring that all technical issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
  • Manage governance and quality assurance of upgrade/build projects, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Manage CAPEX and OPEX to achieve company O&M targets, ensuring that all costs are controlled and managed effectively.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with contractors/subcontractors, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to track the progress of upgrade, preventive/corrective maintenance projects, and provide regular updates to all relevant parties.
  • Provide regional O&M specialists with technical and practical support on overall departmental projects, ensuring that all technical issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
  • Implement and develop O&M strategies to achieve SLA targets, ensuring that all objectives are met and exceeded.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • 1 year of project management/co-ordination experience.
  • Construction regulations and knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical specifications.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with property/base stations.
  • Understanding of basic telecommunications principles, legislation, and policies.
  • Time management skills, interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and negotiation skills.
  • Relevant electrical and/or mechanical and/or facilities and/or construction management degree/diploma.
  • Project management and leadership qualifications.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Develop O&M improvement opportunities and introduce new solutions to improve SLA targets and reduce operation costs.
  • Project management of PPM and CPM projects, ensuring that all objectives are met and exceeded.
  • Effective management of region partners and contractors, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Team effectiveness, management of quality assurance, and ensuring audit and ISO compliance.
