The role involves working within Development, Support, and Maintenance in a high-performance area of the bank's operations. This custom solution is critical to the bank's ability to manage clients effectively and integrate with numerous different systems in the bank.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop software solutions that meet client needs.
  2. Develop complex technical components in areas of accountability.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver system component designs for large-scale systems.
  4. Ensure system component designs are supportable, maintainable, and reusable.
  5. Deliver software that is observable and scalable.
  6. Estimate work effort and troubleshoot software issues.
  7. Provide guidance to other team members and contribute to continuous improvement of software.
  8. Offer maintenance and support of software in environments of accountability.
  9. Develop unit and system test cases and conduct testing.
  10. Create deployment artifacts and store them in source control libraries.
  11. Manage deployment packages and their execution.
  12. Ongoing optimization of tools in collaboration with Biz/Dev/Ops Engineers.
  13. Ensure integration of own work with other individuals and teams.
  14. Collaborate with designers, product owners, and engineering leads to refine solutions.
  15. Support achievement of business strategy, objectives, and values.
  16. Stay up-to-date with developments in expertise fields.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • IT-related Diploma or Degree required.
  • Approximately 7 years of proven experience in relevant fields.
  • Experience dealing with technical platforms and development-related problems.
  • Certificate in relevant languages where available.
  • Familiarity with Unix, Java, JEE Webservices (XML, Soap), DB2, FileNet P8, IBM CMIS, Image Services (ITH), and CMOD.
