Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging maths lessons, adapting to the needs of diverse learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop rigorous learning experiences and individualized behavior plans.
- Pursue ongoing professional development, utilizing customized training to enhance maths teaching skills.
- Track student progress through regular assessments, analyzing data to inform instruction and drive growth.
- Lead weekly Social Emotional Learning (SEL) circles, implementing SPARK Schools' SEL curriculum.
- Implement behavior management strategies aligned with SPARK culture.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and stakeholders, promoting a positive, supportive environment.
- Participate in staff development opportunities, embracing a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
- Attend Saturday events and parent community meetings, fostering strong relationships with the school community.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A degree or PGCE in Mathematics, with a focus on teaching and learning.
- Certification from the South African Council of Educators (SACE).
- English language fluency.
- A clear criminal record.
