Job Description
  1. We are seeking an analytical chemistry laboratory specialist to join our team at SGS. As a key member of our laboratory operations department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our laboratories, adhering to all quality, health and safety rules and regulations.
  2. Your primary responsibilities will include logging received samples into the SLIMS system, printing sample labels, sorting samples correctly before labeling and boxing, and following all quality directives of the department.
  3. You will also operate laboratory instrumentation, report any technical or managerial issues to the chemist, and adhere to all quality, health and safety rules and regulations.
  4. Furthermore, you will assist with the preparation of SANAS audits, record day-to-day repairs, maintenance, calibration, and verification of instruments, and work in other areas and/or divisions if asked to do so.
