At Bidvest Bank, we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, planning, configuring, supporting, securing, and maintaining the availability, integrity, and performance of our databases environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all database changes in all environments.
  • Ensure that the database environments are adequately backed up and replicated to ensure limited impact in the event of failures and to ensure that we can achieve disaster recovery and business continuity requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams and deliver robust deployments aiming to move to high availability.
  • Manage database access management and ensure that policies and procedures are in place.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years in Database Administration.
  • At least 1-2 years' experience in a Senior Database administration position in a large environment.
  • Financial Services experience.
