Job Title: Magazine Master

We are seeking a highly skilled Magazine Master to join our team at AFRIZAN. This critical role involves administering and safeguarding explosive stocks in compliance with legal and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Explosives Management: Manage the receipt, storage, and orderly packing of blasting accessories/explosives.
  • Delivery Verification: Verify deliveries against the delivery note and record them in the Register Book.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that explosives are loaded and transported safely and in compliance with regulations.
  • Pre-Issue Checklists: Complete pre-issue checklists for vehicles and drivers, ensuring all safety prescriptions are met.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the Explosives and Scheduling Coordinators to address discrepancies or non-compliance issues.
Requirements:
  • Education: Grade 12 with Mathematics.
  • Certification: Certified as a Magazine Master with the CIE.
  • Experience: Blasting Assistant Certificate and 2 years of blasting assistant experience.
  • Transportation and Storage: Experience in the transportation and storage of explosives.
  • Validations: Valid Drivers Licence for explosive vehicles and a Police Clearance Certificate.
