Job Title: New Business Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced New Business Consultant to join our team at KERSTON FOODS CC. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing and maintaining sales reports, and providing support to increase customer loyalty and conversion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and Reporting: Develop and present forecasts to management, identify emerging markets and market shifts, and compile and submit weekly and monthly reports.
  • New Business: Proactively increase turnover through existing client bases and secure profitable new business by finding prospective customers and new target segments.
  • Business Development and Onboarding: Responsible for business development, increasing market share by acquiring new clients and/or selling new business solutions to existing clients, and onboarding customers through business development and support.
  • Sales and Admin Support: Collaborate with team members and other departments to identify areas for improvement and provide seamless service to customers and achieve sales targets.

Requirements:

  • Formal qualification in Business Management/Marketing/Entrepreneurship or relevant tertiary qualification
  • Relevant sales qualification
  • At least 5 years' experience in sales or similar role
  • Min 3 years new customer acquisition, business development in food services/hospitality or similar field
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and increasing revenue within this specific industry
  • Valid driver's license and own car needed
  • FMCG background in similar role would be an advantage

  • Computer literate with good numeric skills
  • Excellent in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills

  • Detail-oriented, possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, high-energy environment that requires the ability to multi-task and implement high-priority initiatives
