Job Description
The Child and Youth Assessment and Therapeutic Services (CYATS) team aims to reduce the impact of complex neurodevelopmental conditions in Aboriginal children through early assessment, treatment, and management. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with multidisciplinary teams to provide support to Aboriginal children aged 0-18 and their families, optimising child development and learning disorders such as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have full registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority. You should also have knowledge of child development, neurodevelopmental disorders, and current NT Driver's License or ability to obtain. Furthermore, awareness of and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture, history, and factors influencing the health and lives of Aboriginal children and families in Central Australia are essential.
