About the RoleThis exciting opportunity will see you taking on a leadership role, supporting the Store Manager in driving sales, building customer loyalty, and ensuring efficient store operations. Your key responsibilities will include managing stock levels, controlling costs, and maintaining a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets through effective promotional activities, cross-selling, and up-selling initiatives.
- Manage stock levels, control costs, and maintain accurate records of inventory and expenses.
- Ensure the store is presented in line with the brand image, adhering to visual merchandising standards.
- Lead and motivate a team of sales staff, providing coaching and guidance to achieve performance goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Grade 12 (Maths 50% and English 50%) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 1 year's experience in an assistant store management role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, including budgeting and cost control.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
