About the Role:

The-Recruiter is seeking an experienced Intermediate Quantity Surveyor for a dynamic role in Cape Town City Building Contractor's team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Analysis and Budgeting: Conduct thorough cost analysis, budgeting, and financial management of building contracts to ensure project cost control and financial accuracy.
  • Project Cost Reports: Prepare and monitor project cost reports, including valuations and progress claims, to ensure timely and accurate cost reporting.
  • Contract Management: Oversee procurement, tendering, and contract management to ensure compliance with contract requirements and industry standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with project teams, architects, and contractors to deliver projects within budget and timelines.
  • Dispute Resolution: Assist in the resolution of disputes and contract variations to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably on building projects.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of construction contracts, South African building regulations, and industry standards. Proficiency in cost estimating software and MS Office.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent communication and analytical skills.
