The Role
We are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager (BDM) to spearhead our sales efforts in new territories. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for potential clients, responsible for establishing rapport, arranging meetings, and developing sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Contacting potential clients to establish relationships and arrange meetings.
- Planning and overseeing new marketing strategies to drive business growth.
- Researching organizations and individuals to identify new business opportunities.
- Increasing customer value while attracting new customers.
- Finding and developing new markets, improving sales performance.
- Attending industry events, conferences, and meetings to foster connections.
- Developing quotes and proposals for clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Setting goals for the development team and business growth, ensuring they are met.
- Training personnel, helping team members develop their skills.
- Revenue budgeting and forecasting for the business unit.
- Developing cash flow and profit analysis for client requests.
- Maintaining knowledge of business operations, financials, products/services, and market needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, IT/IS, marketing, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in function-related roles.
- Over 5 years of industrial automation sales experience.
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial IT: 3-5 years.
- Deep understanding of ITIL framework and ISA95 standards.
- Strong communication skills, with ability to manage complex projects and multitask.
- Excellent organizational skills, with ability to work independently and handle uncertainty.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
