We are seeking an experienced Africa, Middle East, and Turkey (AMET) Public Policy Team Member to join our team at Meta. As a key member of our Public Policy team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our approach to Artificial Intelligence policy across the AMET region. You will be responsible for ensuring that regional policy and functions have visibility on AI product updates/roadmaps and are included in red-teaming opportunities when they arise.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies for engaging with government stakeholders on AI-related issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to design a pipeline framework for educating government stakeholders on the value of AI.
  • Work closely with Instagram, Threads, Facebook, and WhatsApp/Messaging Policy leads to ensure a seamless, well-connected strategy for incorporating AI into Meta's Family of Apps.
  • Provide expert guidance on AI policy and its implications on the region/company.

Requirements:
  1. 6-8 years professional experience in policy, tech, or a similar field.
  2. Understanding of tech policy and its implications on AI.
  3. Experience in policy coordination across teams in a matrix organization.
  4. Experience leading cross-functional teams and finding consensus.
