Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Executive to join our team at Talented Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with IFRS guidelines.
  • Identify and manage financial risks through the implementation and monitoring of appropriate accounting procedures.
  • Develop and maintain sound internal controls and good governance structures.
  • Prepare the organization's consolidated annual budget and half-year review and forecast in collaboration with the Directors.
  • Provide timeous and accurate financial reports to stakeholders, including the resident Directors, executive management team, and non-resident Board of Directors.
  • Ensure efficient, effective, and successful audit processes by undertaking thorough preparations.
  • Resolve audit findings in a timely manner prior to the commencement of the next year's audit.
  • Effectively manage core finances, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Review and enhance accounting and reporting systems on an ongoing basis.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts for submission to relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee full accounting functions, including income statement, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and all assets for subsidiaries.
  • Manage compliance with SARS registrations and requirements.
  • Liaise with bankers and review Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payments.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of source documents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Financial Accounting or Financial Management.
  • Completed articles with an accredited audit firm and/or membership with professional bodies such as SAICA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a core finance role.
  • A minimum of 3 years of management experience, including team leadership and/or other managerial responsibilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain sound relationships with key stakeholders.
